Activities

Events

Our collaboration delivers a programme of workshops, technical exchanges, and project meetings that bring together researchers and partners from the international community. These activities provide a platform to share research progress, address emerging challenges in 6G non-terrestrial networks, and support collaboration through knowledge exchange, training, and strategic engagement.

The workshop series has delivered strong impact by strengthening UK-Vietnam collaboration in AI-enabled 6G non-terrestrial networks. The activities have supported interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the development of sustainable international research partnerships.

Key outcomes include:

  • 100+ participants from academia, industry, and funding bodies
  • Two international workshops delivered in Vietnam and the UK
  • 10+ expert speakers across AI, wireless communications, and quantum technologies
  • High levels of engagement, including active discussions and panel sessions
  • New collaborative links established, supporting future joint research and funding opportunities

These activities contribute to the development of long-term, sustainable collaboration between the UK and Vietnam in strategically important areas. By bringing together expertise across disciplines and sectors, the workshops have helped identify shared research priorities and enabled co-creation of future research directions. The programme has also supported early-stage collaboration development, positioning partners for joint funding applications, research outputs, and continued academic and industry engagement.

Building on this momentum, further collaborative activities and research initiatives will continue to support partnership development, research innovation, and capacity building.
